GadgetTrak works in all countries, the accuracy of some cities may vary in some countries, however we have tested the system in all of Europe, South America, North America, Central America, Asia Pacific (including China). We have customers in Europe, Americas, Asia Pacific and Africa. We accept international payments both via major credit cards as well as PayPal, however all pricing is in US dolllars. Sorry, but in order for us to track a device and assist you, the device must be registered on the site and the agent software files properly installed before the device goes missing. We however suggest that you file a police report as well as register the device with our partner JustStolen.net, their stolen goods repository is shared across many law enforcement agencies.
With the latest release of the GadgetTrak agent files, most firewalls are no longer an issue. Please make sure you have downloaded the lates agent files from your account.
No. Currently the GadgetTheft.com service is available to provide you information only. We are not affiliated with any law enforcement agency, nor are we attorneys. We provide information that may assist in the recovery of the device. Also keep in mind that sometimes the device may have been sold to an innocent party, so the information sent to you may not always be the thief. The service is also not a replacement for insurance of the device, or reporting the device stolen to the authorities. We will however will assist you and law enforcment with the neccesary information to get your device back.
Currently the agent will only work on Windows systems (Windows 2000-XP, Vista and now Mac OS X is partially supported). However given that Windows currently accounts for more than 91% of the market (Source: MarketShare), the odds are pretty good that the device will be plugged into a Windows system at some point. The agent requires an internet connection to connect to the server.

If your iPod or other portable media device was stolen and GadgetTrak software was not installed, there is still some hope. Make sure you file a police report and include the serial number of the device in the report. Next also register the device with Stolen 911.
